Yes, everyone is allowed to have an opinion! But... Are you letting someone else’s opinion influence your choices? Are you letting someone else’s opinion create your limitations? Did you know that it’s most likely the fear of what other people will think that is holding you back? It’s not usually the fear of failure; it’s the fear of what others will think or say. And it’s not even the fear of what they will think or say if you FAIL!... Often times it’s the fear of what they will think or say if they found out you were even trying in the first place! Is the fear of being judged that is stopping you from discovering what you are really capable of?... Did you know that I almost didn’t do bobsledding because of having to wear full spandex from head to toe in front of millions of people (and on TV)?!... And actually quite serious! I had body image issues - paranoid by how naturally muscular I was... before Crossfit was even invented and going to the gym was just for football players! (And, if I’m being honest with myself, I still wrestle with those issues sometimes.) But if I had let that fear of discomfort choose my path, I wouldn’t now be speaking on stages all over the place, empowering thousands of people by helping them develop their champion mindset! Because I wouldn’t have become a 2x Olympic champion!! Did I every get over feeling uncomfortable and exposed in a speedsuit? NO! Absolutely not! But, over the years of both competing and working with others in high performance, I learned that sometimes (almost ALL the time) that’s exactly how you need to feel to take things to the next level. That’s exactly what needs to happen for you to discover what you are really capable of! Because I would bet (although I don’t really bet) that you, my friend, are selling yourself short. Maybe not in your personal life, but in your work. Or maybe not in your work, but in your personal life. Now... what’s stopping you? What’s really holding you back from doing that thing you’ve always wanted to do? From taking that trip you’ve always wanted to take? From applying for that job/role you’ve always wanted? From taking your business to the next level?

You are not a robot! 🤖 (Shocker! 😮 I know!) You are human! With human emotions, having human experiences. And that means that life happens! And, although it is important to hold yourself to the standard you are striving for and know that you can follow-through… and the success ‘experts’ out there emphasize daily practices and the importance of commitments, you have to give yourself a little bit of grace! The physical implications that come from stress, guilt and shame when you miss a day are far worse for you than actually missing that one day! And often times, one ‘slip’ makes a person feel so crappy and like a failure that they just give up on the whole thing. So be intentional and make those days as part of the plan!! But this is not meant to give you an out! If you take it that way, you’re not pursuing the right goal. Or, perhaps, aren’t pursuing a goal that you really want! So here’s how it works… Decide what habits you want to develop - what daily changes you want to make. And you get 2-months worth of freebies each year! Only 60 days that you can miss that walk/run, eat that piece of cake (because your niece made you one for your birthday, or set aside that reading time… GUILT-FREE!! But here’s the key:🔑 Only 60 day all year! And…. Never 2 days in a row! (Because then that’s starting to develop a new habit.) 👊 And PS…. You are capable of way more than you think you are! So even though you GET 60 guilt-free days, maybe challenge yourself to use as few of those as you can!! 😉👊 #embracethechallenge #championmindset #beintentional #mindshifts #behuman #goals

Or… just make sure no one is looking?! 🤭😅 Need I say more?!… 🤷‍♀️💃👊 As the end of the Paris Olympics approaches with the Closing Ceremony tomorrow, here’s to hoping that all the athletes at the Paris Olympics (AND the fans and spectators) realize that there is more to enjoy and celebrate than just sports! (I know! Weird, coming from a 2x Olympic champion! But… 🤷‍♀️ #truth) (And, yes, I was the super mature age of 39 at those Games! 🤣) (And, yes, I would probably do the same thing now at 46! 🤣) (And… a huge shoutout to my partner in ‘crime’, @rizzbobsleigh! 👯‍♀️) You have to remember to enjoy the little things!… And create moments that make your heart smile! ❤️ #olympics #closingceremony #olympicchampion #dancecrew #throwback #embracethemoment #partnerincrime
